ANNUAL CONFERENCE EVENTS AT SAN DIEGO

June 27—Prayer and fasting session at Annual Conference (Saturday noon), led by Brother Wilmer Horst.
June 27—BRF Insight Session at Annual Conference (Saturday, 9 PM). “How the BRF Perceives the Future of the Church of the Brethren.” The presenter will be Brother Craig Alan Myers.
June 28—BRF Luncheon at Annual Conference (Sunday noon); Brother Carl L. Brubaker will present “Ten Years of Brethren Mission Fund Outreach.” Tickets will be available at the BRF Display.
June 29—BRF Dinner at Annual Conference (Monday, 5 PM); Brother John Shelly will speak on “Hope for a World in Turmoil.” Tickets will be available at the BRF Display; plan to get them early.
SUMMER BRETHREN BIBLE INSTITUTE AT ELIZABETHTOWN COLLEGE
Registration for BBI will begin on Sunday evening, July 19. The Institute will be held from Monday through Friday during the following week. Some classes are designed with extra study and assignments for licensed ministers. Write to Brethren Bible Institute, 155 Denver Road, Denver, PA 17517 if you need a brochure, or see the information on the BRF website. The last day to receive applications is June 22, 2009.
IT MUST BE MAINE
Volunteers are needed for the next BVS/BRF unit in Lewiston, Maine. Orientation will be August 16-26, 2009. The needs in Maine include a married couple (with or without children) to serve as house-parents, as well as singles to do volunteer work with Good Shepherd Food Bank and The Root Cellar ministry. This unit of volunteers is a part of the Brethren Volunteer Service Program but is given oversight by the Brethren Revival Fellowship Committee. Contact Brother Walter Heisey at 717-949-3173 if interested. The application process must be completed by July 6, 2009.
GOSPEL OF JOHN COMMENTARY AVAILABLE
The most recent volume of the Brethren New Testament Commentary series [Gospel of John] has been released. Brother Harold S. Martin is the author, and it contains 304 pages. It is available for a suggested donation of $20.00 sent to the BRF’s Ephrata, PA mailing address, or via the BRF website.
